There you are,

I was just wondering where you’d gone.

The absence of your presence did not go unnoticed,

As I floated further away from you,

With my friends at the lake.

It’s hard to stay present,

Wondering, when’s the next time I’d see your face.

You always leave without a trace,

After all that pain, you have nothing more to say?

Maybe, because we always come back to one another,

Sooner than I anticipate;

How come you don’t stay hidden away?

Why has my heart been the place you prefer to stay?

You leave me so lonely,

Yet you’re the only one, who holds me this closely.

How long do you need my body for?

My friends will question where they’d left me,

All I ask is you leave me here,

While you use my hands and feet.

So I can swim peacefully,

In the many lakes you’ve made for me.
